World-Famous Circus Performer Presents 'A Celebration of Silent Cinema'

Rob Mermin, world-famous clown, mime, actor and director of Circus Smirkus, an internationally acclaimed youth circus in Vermont, will present "Silents Are Golden: A Celebration of Sllent Cinema. Mermin's presentation will use
silent film as a foundation for exploring nonverbal communication in American popular entertainment.
Mermin trained in classical mime with Etienne Decroux and Marcel Marceau and has performed in European circus, theater, TV and film for 40 years.He is an author, director, university lecturer, former Dean of Ringling Bros. Clown College, and founder of the award-winning international company Circus Smirkus.
