David Juarez

Doctoral Student


David Juarez is a first year Ph.D. student in American Studies at The University of Texas at Austin. He received his B.A. in American Studies in 2012 and his M.A. in American Studies in 2014, both at UT. His research interests are primarily centered in Beat Studies, analyzing and exploring the lives, works, and cultural impacts of authors including Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, William S. Burroughs, and more. He is also interested in 20th century American Literature, Childhood Studies, Women’s and Gender Studies, Affect Theory, and Queer Studies, and always enjoys discussing and analyzing classic and contemporary fiction and films.
