Chiyuma Elliott received the 2012 Outstanding Dissertation Award in the field of humanities and fine arts from the Graduate School! Her dissertation is titled "Blackness and Rural Modernity in the 1920s." Congratulations to Ms. Elliott and her dissertation advisor, Shirley Thompson, for this outstanding accomplishment!
