Biography
Interest in birth on the U.S/Mexico border and the influence biopolitical, or accredited medical, institutions have on the beginning of life and subsequent citizenship of Mexican and Mexican Americans. Focus on agency in Mexican immigrant and Mexican American women's choices and constraints in prenatal, birth and postnatal care in the militarized border zone. Also interest in Chicana artists as political visionaries.
