Course Description

Are you interested in one of the most exciting periods of history? From the eight to eleventh centuries the Vikings moved beyond their Scandinavian borders, expanded into new areas of the world, and had a profound influence on the future course of European history. They discovered America long before Columbus; they gave Russia her name. They produced beautiful works of art and literature. Their pagan gods and myths still stir the imagination. This course will explore the fascinating world of the Vikings.
