Can Ethnicity Replace Race?: Territorial Claims, Indigeneity, and Multicultural States

Job Candidate for the Latin American Studies Anthro. position. Our third and final Latin American hire candidate will be on campus Thursday (Feb. 9th) and Friday (Feb. 10th). Dr. Bettina Ng'weno has her Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University and is currently an Assistant Professor in the department of African and African American Studies at the University of California, Davis. Her work is on Afro-Colombian land rights and multicultural citizenship.

Friday, February 10th), she will be available to meet with graduate students in the second floor student lounge between noon and 1pm. Please feel free to bring a bag lunch and visit with Dr. Ng'weno.
