Dr. López Luján is a Senior Researcher at the Museo del Templo Mayor in Mexico City. He has published several books on archaeology in Central Mexico, including the acclaimed The Offerings of the Templo Mayor of Tenochtitlan (2005), La Casa de las Águilas (2006), and Breaking Through Mexico's Past: Digging the Aztecs with Eduardo Matos Moctezuma (with Davíd Carrasco, in press), among others.
This lecture is a joint effort of the Department of Anthropology Speakers Series and the Department of Art History Lecture Series. It is co-sponsored by the Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies, the Mexican Center, and the Mesoamerica Center of the University of Texas at Austin.
