Professor David Morgan of Valparaiso University will visit the campus next week. David Morgan is the author of “Protestants and Pictures,” “The Visual Culture of American Religion,” “The Sacred Gaze: Religious Visual Culture in Theory and Practice,” “Visual Piety: A History and Theory of Popular Religious Images.”His 4:00 lecture will outline his most recent work, on visual culture and national identity, and will be entitled "Seeing Nationhood: The Visual Culture of American National Identity."
