Research interests:
Dr. Thompson’s research interests include human osteological analysis,computer imaging, and functional morphology. She is also interested in Mesoamerica; Maya bioarchaeology, burial customs, and potbelly stone sculptures. She participates in fieldwork with the Programme for Belize Archaeological Project under the direction of Dr. Fred Valdez, and in Northwestern Ethiopia under the direction of Dr. John Kappelman.
