Call for volunteers – Registration-
The Symposium About Language and Society--Austin (SALSA XV) (April 13-15) is now looking for students and members of the UT community to help out at the registration table during the conference. In exchange for two hours of help, registration dues will be waived for all volunteers.
Established in 1992, the Symposium About Language and Society--Austin (SALSA) is an entirely student-organized annual conference sponsored by the departments of Linguistics, Anthropology, and Communication Studies at The University of Texas at Austin. At present, SALSA has become internationally recognized by graduate students and faculty alike as a prestigious, interdisciplinary venue for presenting cutting-edge work on the relationship of language and culture to society.
The duty of volunteers would be to manage the registration table during the conference. We ask that volunteers sign up for two one-hour time slots. Following is a schedule of time slots available for manning the registration table:
Friday (April 13th)- 8:00am- 5:00pm
Saturday (April 14th)- 8:00am- 4:00pm
Sunday (April 15th)- 8:00am-12:00pm
To volunteer, please email John McKenzie at firstname.lastname@example.org and provide:
1) your name, email and telephone number
