Biography

    CPT was born and raised in Winston-Salem, NC.  He attended all levels of education in Winston-Salem to include earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Winston-Salem State University and received his commission from Wake Forest University in 2004.  He served as a Gold Bar Recruiter at Wake Forest prior to attending Signal Officer Basic Course.  His military education includes airborne school, Signal Officer Basic Course, Military Police Captains Career Course, Operations Security Officer Course , Advanced Rifle Marksmanship Course, Combatives levels I – IV and Military Transition Team Training Course.

    CPT Hepler was commissioned as a 2LT into the Signal Corps in May 2004.  His assignments include BN requisitions officer, 63rd Signal Battalion (Deployed); Platoon Leader (Deployed) / Data Package OIC, 63rd Signal Battalion; Network Officer, 35 Signal Brigade; Police Operations Officer for a Point of Entry Transition Team (Deployed); Current Operations Officer, 728th Military Police Battalion; Current Operations Officer and Long Range Plans Officer, 8th Military Police Brigade; 13th Military Police Detachment Commander and the 520th Military Working Dogs Detachment Commander, 728th Military Police Battalion.

    CPT Hepler has served two tours in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn.   His awards and decorations include a Bronze Star, a Meritorious Service Medal, an Army Commendation Medal, an Army Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon and the Overseas Service Ribbon.

CPT Hepler is married to his lovely wife, Erin and has two daughters.
