Biography
MSG Robert Campbell was born on 22 April 1971 in Anahuac, Texas. He enlisted in the Army upon graduating from East Chambers High School in 1989 and completed Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO.
MSG Campbell has served the Army in Bayreuth, Germany in the 84th Engineer Company 2nd ACR, 8th Engineer Battalion FT Hood, TX, 44th Engineer Battalion Camp Howze Korea and 1-12 CAV FT Hood TX. He has held leadership positions as a Team Leader, Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, and Engineer Company First Sergeant and HHC First Sergeant. He has also served in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm and four tours during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
MSG Campbell’s military education includes the Warrior Leaders Course, Engineer Advanced Leadership Course and Engineer Senior Leadership Course. MSG Campbell is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Homeland Security.
MSG Campbell’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal with three oak leaf clusters, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal with seven oak leaf clusters, Good Conduct Medal (7th Award), National Defense Service Medal with bronze star, Korea Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal (w/ 3 bronze stars), Iraqi Campaign Ribbon (w/ 4 bronze stars), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer’s Professional Development Ribbon (3d Award), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (5th Award), Kuwaiti Liberation Medal-Saudi Arabia, the Kuwaiti Liberation Medal-Kuwait, and the Combat Action Badge.
