Longhorn Battalion Cadets Raise Over $700 dollars in Pie Auction
Cadre bid for chance to hit staff with multi-ingredient pies
Posted: March 22, 2006
Longhorn cadets pooled their money together to "pie" members of the faculty and cadet chain of command. Major Fitzgeraldâs pie raised the most money with donations from both cadets and cadre adding up to over $300.00.
CDT Lewis organized the event. He auctioned each pie to the highest bidder and introduced the different ingredients that could be added to the pies, such as ketchup, syrup, and sprinkles. There were several tense moments when cadre jumped into the crowd for some revenge for their "pieing." Cadets scrambled in all directions to avoid getting dirty.
The event was a huge success for Longhorn Battalion as it drew a high turnout of cadre and cadets.
