Scholarships

UT Army ROTC awards 2, 3, and 4-year scholarships that are merit-based to qualified individuals each year on a rolling basis.  Scholarships include tuition and fees, books and a monthly stipend which are valued up to $17,000/yr.  Below is a list of the scholarships that we offer.  In order to apply for any one of the scholarships or programs listed below, you must contact the Recruiting Operations Officer at (512) 471-5919 or enroll@uts.cc.utexas.edu.

HelicopterHigh School Students

High School students can apply for a 4-year Army ROTC scholarship which will pay for their entire college education. High School students should apply at the beginning of their senior year; however there is no cut off date to apply. To apply for a 4-year scholarship, contact the Recruiting Operations Officer at (512) 471-5919 or email enroll@uts.cc.utexas.edu.

College Students

UT Army ROTC provides 2, 3, or 4-year scholarships to current college students who seek commissions as second lieutenants. The scholarships are offered to qualified students at the University of Texas, St. Edwards University, Concordia University, and Huston-Tillotson University.  Austin Community College students must transfer to one of the aforementioned schools to compete for a scholarship.  If you are a current college student at one of these universities and are interested in a scholarship, contact the Recruiting Operations Officer at (512) 471-5919 or email enroll@uts.cc.utexas.edu.

Nursing Scholarships

UT Army ROTC offers scholarships for qualified nursing students who seek to become an Army Nurse.  Students who receive a Nursing Scholarship are guaranteed a job as an Army Nurse in an Army hospital upon graduation and commissioning.  Nursing scholarships also include board fees, a stethoscope, and all class expenses directly related to nursing.  To learn more about the ROTC Nursing Scholarships and nursing opportunities in the Army contact the Recruiting Operations Officer at (512) 471-5919 or email enroll@uts.cc.utexas.edu. Green to Gold Scholarships

UT Army ROTC also accepts 2, 3, and 4 year Green-to-Gold (GTG) Scholarship recipients.  The GTG program is designed for active duty soldiers who desire to complete their education and earn their commission as a 2LT in the Active Duty, National Guard, or Army Reserves.  Soldiers applying for GTG must have approval of their chain of command and must be accepted to the University of Texas, St. Edwards University, Concordia University, and Huston-Tillotson University prior to award of a scholarship. AviationSimultaneous Membership Program (SMP)/Texas State Tuition Assistance Program

ROTC cadets who are in the Army National Guard or the Army Reserves may participate in the SMP during their final in the National Guard may participate in the TSTAP during all 4 years, which pays all tuition and fees for 12 credit hours per semester.
