Course Description

TAM 507 is the continuation of TAM 506 and second level of the introductory course. The course meets 5 hours a week and carries five credit hours. Usually one hour per week will be devoted to Structure introduction, one hour for reading, one for conversation. From the beginning of the latter half of the semester, one hour for reading, reading comprehension, listening comprehension, and one hour for guided and free compositon will be devoted for effective and wider languages use. There will be a number of activities for language developments among the learners. The classes will be very interesting provided the active participation by learners. There will be a thorough revision of TAM 506 in the beginning of the semester.

TAM 507 aims at: Learning basic Tamil structures completely Development of vocabulary Developing proficiency in communicative competence Practice to the normal reading speed Training in wriing short passages Letter writing practice (ie. writing a letter on your own) Practice on guided composition
