ANS 301M • 3-History of East Asia to 1800

Course Description

This introductory course presents a broad overview of the history of East Asia, focusing on China, Japan, and Korea. We will study the major historical events and trends up to 1800, including social, political, economic and cultural developments. We will examine both the differences between the cultures of the region and the interactions between these cultures.

Grading Policy

The grade will be based on in-class quizzes and class attendance 30% Midterm and final 40% One written essay 30%
