A Professor of Creative Writing at Princeton University, Chang-rae Lee is the author of four acclaimed novels, including The Surrendered, a finalist for the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.

The Joynes Reading Room is located on the east side of the Carothers Building at 2501 Whitis Avenue on the UT Austin campus. The closest public parking is the garage at the covner of San Antonio and 25th. No RSVP is required to attend, although seating is limited and admission is not guaranteed.
