Professional Development Workshop: Funding

This workshop is intended for all graduate students studying Asia who are interested in increasing their chances of receiving funding for their dissertation work, research projects, conference visits, or other academic endeavors.Topics to be discussed will include: where to look for funding, how to craft an effective proposal, and other aspect of compiling a successful application for funding. The primary goal is to provide students with practical advice and strategies to improve your chances of finding and receiving funding for research and other projects. Food will be provided, but registration is required. Please contact Matthew Sayers at firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a place by April 9th. The earliest deadlines for grants occur in the summer, so preparing for the process this early is advisable. We also plan to organize a follow up workshop that will provide an opportunity for students to share their proposals an receive feedback.
