Japanese Program Receives COLA Technology Grant

Naoko Suito, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Asian Studies, has received a 2011-12 Liberal Arts Instructional Technology Grant for the project “Improving Listening and Speaking through the JOSHU (Japanese Online Self-Help Utility) Site.” The JOSHU site (http://www.laits.utexas.edu/japanese/joshu) was first created by a student in 2004, and since then has developed additional capacities through the work of Professor Suito, other Japanese faculty, and Japanese students.
