GK 503 • First-Year Modern Greek II: Gram/Read
8:00 AM-9:00 AM
This course continues the elementary work on Modern Greek that was begun in Greek 502. It may be possible for students with some previous knowledge of the language to begin at this stage, but only after consulting with the instructor. Conversation practice now begins to move to a freer form on a wider range of topics, and reading begins to move from the preparatory pieces of textbook style to the more genuine Greek of magazines, folk songs, and modern short stories.
