Course Description
We shall read in Greek extensive selections from Herodotus, The History, Book 1 and Euripides, Medea. Class meetings will be devoted to translation, analysis grammar and syntax, and to discussion of the texts and consideration of their cultural setting.
Grading Policy
The final grade will be based on regular quizzes (20%), two midterm exams (40%), the final examination (30%) and classroom participation (10%).
