Professor Jennifer Ebbeler Awarded Tenure
The Department is very pleased to announce that Jennifer Ebbeler has been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor with Tenure, effective September 1, 2009.

Professor Ebbeler received her PhD from The University of Pennsylvania in 2001, and after a year as the APA/NEH Fellow to the Thesaurus Linguae Latinae in Munich, she joined the UT faculty in Fall of 2002.
A specialist in Latin prose and Late Antiquity, she has written extensively on Latin letters. Her monograph on Disciplining Christians: Correction and Community in Augustine's Letters is forthcoming from Oxford University Press. Her current projects include further studies of the Latin epistolary tradition and co-editing (with Cristiana Sogno) a collection of Latin readings on Pagans and Christians in the Later Roman Empire, which will be published by Cambridge University Press.
