Stephanie Craven and Jonathan MacLellan awarded American School fellowships
Posted: April 11, 2011
Congratulations to both Stephanie Craven and Jonathan MacLellan, who have each been awarded full fellowships to study next year at the American School of Classical Studies in Athens (ASCSA). Stephanie has been named the Lucy Shoe Meritt Fellow and Jonathan MacLellan the Martin Ostwald Fellow for 2011-12.
The School awards thirteen fellowships annually to graduate students who have been granted regular membership in its yearlong program. Regular Membership is awarded on the basis of competitive examinations and open to graduate students in the U.S. or Canada who are pursuing an advanced degree in classical and ancient Mediterranean studies or a related field. Preference is given to those who have completed at least one year of graduate study, and applicants are expected to read French and German, in addition to ancient Greek; and a reading knowledge of Latin, modern Greek, and Italian is helpful as well.
