Bruce D. Smith Memorial Conference - April 12 and 13, 2003

The University of Texas at Austin, the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis invite you to a conference in honor of the late Professor Bruce D. Smith. The conference will be held in Austin on Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13, 2003.

The program involves eight co-authors of Bruce's work in progress presenting that work. These papers fall into four main branches of Bruce's lifetime work. For each of these branches a session chair has offered to discuss Bruce's contribution to the area. There will also be a discussant of each paper. The Federal Reserve Bank in Minneapolis has dedicated the fall issue of the Quarterly Review to the late Professor Bruce D. Smith. The Quarterly Review, published by the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, is an academic journal that primarily presents economic research aimed at improving policymaking by the Federal Reserve System and other governmental authorities. The Federal Reserve Bank is also co-sponsoring the Bruce D. Smith Memorial Conference on April 12-13,2003.
