Course Description
This course provides an intermediate level study of macroeconomics for economics honors students. The focus is on both the economics and the politics of the subject. Also, mathematical and computational models are used in the class. The textbook is by Hall and Taylor and also reading from a book by Krugman is used. In addition class notes are provided. The Hall and Taylor model is used in a series of student exercises with the GAMS software. There are two hour exams and a comprehensive final.
