Murray S. Johnson Memorial Conference: November 5-6, 2005

Fourth Annual Duke/Northwestern/Texas IO Theory Conference

The Departments of Economics and Business Schools at Duke and UT-Austin, and the Center for the Study of Industrial Organization (CSIO) at Northwestern University announce the fourth in a series of annual jointly sponsored conferences focusing on theoretical work in industrial organization. This is the fourth year for the conference. The conference is intended to serve as a forum for presentation and discussion of current research in theoretical industrial organization, with a special emphasis on work by younger scholars.

The conference will be held this year at University of Texas starting the morning of Saturday November 5 and ending mid-day on Sunday November 6, 2005.

If you have a paper that you would like to present, please send a pdf file of the paper or abstract by email to hendrick@eco.utexas.edu by August 30, 2005. The program will be selected and paper presenters notified by September 9, 2005. Travel funds are available for those on the program.

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn & Suites, 200 San Jacinto Blvd. for the nights of Friday November 4 and Saturday November 5. To make a reservation, contact the front desk of the hotel directly at 512-472-1500. Tell them that you are making a reservation for the "Industrial Organization Conference." The Conference will be held at the Joe C. Thompson Conference Center, The University of Texas at Austin.

Please notify us by September 1, 2005 at hendrick@eco.utexas.edu if you plan on attending, so that we may plan on the correct number of attendees. (We will be providing a conference lunch and dinner for all attendees on Saturday, November 5).
