Scheduling of final examinations

No semester examinations may be given before examination week begins, and no change in time from that printed in the official examination schedule may be made. An instructor with a compelling need to deviate in any way from this rule must obtain approval from the department chairman and the dean of the college in which the course is taught prior to announcing an alternative examination procedure to students. No examination may be given during the study days (no-class days) immediately preceding the final examination period. A change in the meeting place for an examination may be made only with the approval of the registrar. (General Information Bulletin, p. 86)
