Economics staff participates in RecSports Poker Walk
In celebration of National Employee Health and Fitness Day
This recreational walk in celebration of National Employee Health and Fitness Day drew over 1200 UT employees. The mile long walk included stops along the way rewarding the walkers with poker chips.
Walkers redeemed their chips at the end of the course for prizes for best hand, best costume and other door prizes. Economics Staffers led by Anna Notzon registered as a team known as the "Social Insecurity Administration."
The team uniformly dressed up as elderly women in big hats, scarves and dresses. In character throughout the walk, all eyes were on our team. Chosen as one of the four finalist for Best Costume the SIA team hobbled to center stage. With overwhelming recognition from the audience the SIA team won 1st Place.
