Economics Scholars Program Conference
Posted: April 6, 2011
Fifteen economics undergraduate students and two economics staff chaperones attended the Economics Scholars Program Conference on Friday, April 1st, 2011 at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. The one-day undergraduate economics research conference was designed to promote the involvement of undergraduate economics students in all areas of the research process. The Texas Economics Association (TEA) and Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE), two UT undergraduate student organizations, participated in the event, and ODE members Mateo Clarke and Joon Son gave well-received presentations at the conference. Students were accompanied by Jana Cole and Sara Herndon, two advisors from the Economics department whose planning and support of the students made the trip possible. Hoping to make this trip an annual tradition, the attendees took a moment to show their longhorn pride outside the Dallas Fed.
