Course Description

This course will introduce students to masterpieces (and some minor pieces) of the British literary tradition, emphasizing historical, generic, and thematic connections. Lecture and discussion.

Grading Policy

Four 2 page memos 15% each
Final essay 30%
Participation 10%
Regular attendance will be necessary in order to keep up with assignments.
