E 325 • Creative Writing: Poetry (34475 + 34463)

Course Description

This beginning poetry workshop will explore experiments with structure, form and prosody over the course of the semester. Poets will write a series of poems that will become part of an end-of-semester portfolio. We will also read three collections of poems and have three Book Shop days in which we'll talk about the books as a class.

Grading Policy

There will be three annotations, two to three pages each, assigned during the semester. Of course, we'll discuss and provide feedback on poems by participants in the workshop weekly.
