E 320L • Major Writers of the Restoration and 18th Century (Honors)
1:00 PM-2:00 PM
Restricted to students admitted to the English Honors Program.
E320L surveys more than a century of English literature from the Restoration (1660) to the French Revolution (1789). The course will trace the literary history of the period by exploring its principal genres and major authors in chronological order.
As this is an Honors seminar, grades will be based on research and writing. Research will involve exploring online resources, including digitized databses of original materials, as well as UT's resources for study of the period: the PCL, the HRC, and the Blanton museum.
