Course Description
An intermediate writing workshop with an emphasis on craft and technique. Students will read and analyze classic and contemporary short fiction and write two stories and a substantial revision of at least one of those stories. There will be some short writing exercises and response papers as well.
Grading Policy
Written critiques of each student story, typed and turned in the day the story is workshopped, 30%
Two stories (eight pages minimum) and a final revision of one of these stories, 50%
Attendance and participation, 20%
