Course Description
An introduction to techniques of writing fiction. No genre fiction. Students will read short stories, do directed writing exercises both in class and out of class, and write a scene and three short stories. Much of the course will consist of workshop, in which students in groups led by TAs discuss each other's work.
Grading Policy
Short exercises and class participation, including attendance 25%
