Course Description
COURSE CANCELLED
This course is organized around the theme of captivity. It poses the question of what the freedom commonly attributed to American Democracy means to those who have historically been unable to set and maintain the boundaries governing their personal or communal space. The course has a multicultural emphasis and includes writing by Native American, Anglo-American, African American, Latino/a, and Asian American authors.
