Course Description
This course centers on adaptation of short stories to film as a means of learning the significant differences in the media. Each student will learn through practice to adapt a short story by planning and writing a film script, then visualizing part of a completed film. Short films will illustrate different problems and solutions. There will be three short critical papers analyzing specific adaptations—with revisions for a new grade possible. The final exam will be a 10-page paper.
