E 341L • Poetry Workshop

Course Description

This is a continuation of the E 325 Creative Writing: Poetry course. The pattern and principles of the course will resemble those of E 325. Students are expected to work at their own pace, but to work and produce continuously. There will be intensive discussion of the poems, and the instructor will provide examples of poetry from outside the course for discussion also.

Grading Policy

There will be a final project of ten to twelve original poems written and selected by each student from the semester’s work. Grades will be based on the quality of the work and, I will stress, presence in class.
