Course Description
An introduction to Old English, by way of readings in Old English. Well learn the language from the texts: first, pronunciation; then, memorization of the forms of the definite article; then, the nouns; then the verbs. All will be done by way of readings in the texts.
This is a language class. It requires daily attendance and daily preparation.
This class is a preparation for the Beowulf class to be offered next semester.Grading Policy

You must have almost perfect attendance and perfect translations/quizzes to earn an A.
