South African writer Jonny Steinberg is author of the new book "Sizwe's Test"
South African writer Jonny Steinberg is author of the new book Sizwe's Test. This nonfiction narrative is set in a small village ravaged by the AIDS epidemic. In an intimate portrait, Steinberg chronicles a year in the life of Sizwe, a young man at risk for HIV, and his process of deciding whether or not to be tested for the virus. The book examines the social, cultural and health consequences that make the decision to be tested especially difficult for thousands of Africans.
