Two UT poets read from their new books...

On Tuesday, October 28, 2008, UT professors Dean Young and A. Van Jordan from the department of English will read from their new books of poetry.  The reading will take place at 5:45 at Follett’s Intellectual Property with a reception beginning at 5:30.

Jordan, who has taught creative writing at UT since 2006, will read from Quantum Lyrics. Young, the new William Livingston Chair of Poetry, will read from his newly completed work Fall Higher.

The event brings together two established working poets.  Dean has published nine books of poetry.   Jordan is author of the widely acclaimed M-A-C-N-O-L-I-A and Rise. Both poets have numerous awards and honors.
