Medieval Studies
In Medieval and Old English Studies, poststructuralist analysis of the role of gender in rhetoric and pedagogy (Woods), analysis of medieval literature and culture from perspectives of race, class, gender, sexuality, and nation-formation (Heng), and exploration of Chaucer and his English contemporaries from various theoretical, philological, and historical perspectives (Scala) complement specializations in Chaucer, medieval language and philosophy (Kaulbach), and linguistic and prosodic analysis of the history of English poetics (Blockley, Cable).
