The nineteenth- and twentieth-century European novel; contemporary Latin-American fiction.Biography
Professor Charles Rossman has taught at UT Austin since 1968, and has also taught at USC, UCLA, the National University of Mexico (Mexico, D.F.) and Paul Valery University in Montpellier, France. He was Director of UT's Plan II Honors Program (1977-1981), and is a member of the Academy of Distinguished teachers. He specializes in modern British literature, generally, with special emphasis on the work of James Joyce and D.H. Lawrence. His research and teaching interests include 19th- and 20th-century European novel and contemporary Latin-American fiction.
