Research Interests: Davis is currently at work on three books. Inessential Solidarity examines the intersections between ''rhetoric'' and ''community,'' focusing specifically on inessential forms of solidarity that require both terms to be radically redefined. Women's Ways of Making It...In Rhetoric and Composition explicates the ways in which ''successful'' women in the field have made it. (With (with Michelle Ballif and Roxanne Mountford; under advanced contract with Erlbaum.) And Reading Ronell is an edited collection on the work of Avital Ronell. Fifteen confirmed contributors, including Jacques Derrida, Helene Cixous, Jean-Luc Nancy, Werner Hamacher, and Judith Butler. Under negotiations with University of Illinois Press.
