Recent Publications: I've published some seventy or more items (essays, reviews, five edited books). Most have been on D.H. Lawrence, James Joyce, and various Latin American writers (Carlos Fuentes, Mario Vargas Llosa, Gabriel García Márquez).

I've served on the editorial boards of several academic journals: James Joyce Quarterly (10 years), Studies in the Novel (six years), Journal of Modern Fiction (twelve years, and still active), and the D.H. Lawrence Review (board member since 1970), which I now edit here at UT. Editing this journal is now my most consuming current academic enterprise.
