Research Interests: Dr. Schwartzburg is Curator of British and American Literature at the Harry
Ransom Humanities Research Center. She is currently working on several projects, including two upcoming exhibitions at the Ransom Center: "The Persian Sensation: The Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám in the West" (Spring 2009) and "From Out That Shadow: The Life and Legacy of Edgar Allan Poe" (Fall 2009). Her work focuses primarily on interpreting the Ransom Center’s holdings for the university community and the general public through exhibitions, research support, public programs, and courses. Particular research interests include modern and contemporary poetry and fiction, avant-garde movements, artists’ books, history of the book, interdisciplinarity, libraries and archives, museum studies. She warmly encourages faculty and students in all fields to contact her with any questions regarding the Ransom Center.
