Popular Culture and Cultural Studies

A particular faculty strength is music, ranging across the Mexican-American folk and popular music (Limon), the historical relations between American popular music and literature (Bremen), and rock and rap music in Britain and America, including the sociology of youth subcultures and relevant literary works (Nehring).
