The Department of English Congratulates Actors from the London Stage
Winner of the Austin Critics' Table Award for Best Touring Show
The Department of English is pleased to announce that Actors from the London Stage have received the 2006-2007 Austin Critics' Table Award for Best Touring Show for last fall's production of Hamlet staged here at UT.
The actors featured were Robert Mountford, Anna Northam, Geoffery Beevers, Richard Stacey, and Terence Wilton.
Actors from the London Stage is a unique program. Their mission is to provide an affordable Shakespeare experience to American universities. Their commitment goes beyond just staging a play. The actors provide classes during their week-long visit that allow students direct involvement in theatrical events and texts.
