King Lear

terenceTERENCE WILTON (Lear/Cornwall/Albany) has enjoyed a much-traveled career in theatre, film and television. This is his fifth AFTLS tour; he previously appeared in Hamlet (Claudius), The Tempest (Prospero), Measure for Measure (The Duke), and Romeo and Juliet (Friar Laurence). He has acted with nearly every major British theatre company, most recently at the Royal National Theatre production of Howard Brenton's Never So Good in 2008 and this year as Colonel Pickering in Pygmalion for the Sir Peter Hall Company at the Hong Kong Festival. Terry has played leading roles in a number of seasons with the Royal Shakespeare Company and is a regular guest performer with the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester. He has made several world tours with the British Council and the Old Vic Company and played two seasons with Regent's Park Open Air Theatre. In addition, Terry was a member of Mike Alfred's Method and Madness company for several years and he has appeared in several prestigious West End runs. Television credits include: The Crusades: The Crescent and the Cross, The Forsyte Saga, Inspector Alleyn Mysteries, and Dr Who. Films include Anne of the Thousand Days and Dear Rosie. Recent radio credits include Becket by Jean Anouilh on BBC 3.

NealeRICHARD NEALE (Edgar/Edmund/France/Burgundy/1stServant Act3sc7) joins AFTLS for the first time. He trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre and has acted in a number of their productions, with roles that include Satan/Judas/Gossip in The Mysteries, the title role in Hiawatha, Silvius in As You Like It, Trip in The School for Scandal, Mr. Pugh/Billy/ Voice in Under Milk Wood, and Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Richard has also appeared as the Frenchman/Russian in Traveling Light at the New Vic Basement, as Lee/Jazz Band in Privates on Parade at the New Vic Theatre – Stoke, and as Lord Chamberlain in Cinderella at Swan Theatre High Wycombe. Work with Creation Theatre Company includes Claudio/Elbow/Abhorson in Measure for Measure, Titania/Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Cassio in Othello. He also played the roles of Mrs. Eels/Lenny/Ah Pong/Mrs. Milligan/Foggerty/O’Brien in Puckoon for Big Telly Theatre Company. Richard has been a member of the Natural Theatre Company for 9 years, taking part in numerous national and international tours and residencies. TV and Film Credits include: Maternity Nurse (Holby City) for BBC 1; Bestman (Just Desserts) for HTV; Neil (Living in Hope) for We Three Films.

DelvinCAROLINE DEVLIN (Regan/Fool/Knight Act1sc4/Messenger Act4sc2/Gentleman Act 5sc3(line 220)/2nd Officer Act5sc3) graduated from The Drama Centre London in 1995 and has been privileged to work at many of the UK’s leading theatres. She has been fortunate enough to play many classical roles including Hero in Much Ado About Nothing, Masha in Chekhov’s Three Sisters (Royal Lyceum Edinburgh), and Emillia in Othello (Creation Theatre Company Oxford), as well as more contemporary naturalistic roles such as Jenny in Roots by Arnold Wesker (Royal Exchange Manchester). Television and radio projects include Casualty, The History Man, Psychos, and My Uncle Silas with Albert Finney. When not working as an actress, Caroline directs professionally on a wide range of projects, most recently for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Sydenham Arts Festival. Caroline also teaches at many leading London drama schools where she specializes in text analysis, the Stanislavski and Method approaches, and classical text. Caroline is a professional singer working on an acoustic album of ambient celtic music with Matt Eaton and will later in the year direct in London the rarely-performed Debussy Opera Pelleas et Mellesande. Caroline is thrilled to be taking part in King Lear, her third tour with Actors From The London Stage.

MahoneyRINA MAHONEY (Goneril/Cordelia /Oswald/Gentleman Act3sc1/2nd Servant Act3sc7/Old Man Act4sc1/Gentleman Act4sc3) returns to Actors From The London Stage for the second time following her portrayal of Olivia in the AFTLS 2005 tour of Twelfth Night. Other theatre works include Beyond Measure, a one-woman show with York Theatre Royal and Back & Forth theatre company, A Passage to India Shared Experience US and UK tour, Dona Rosita at the Orange Tree Theatre, Peter Pan with Birmingham Repertory, and Behsharam at Soho Theatre/Birmingham Rep. Rina has appeared in The Tempest and Vurt at Contact Theatre, Private Lives and Woman in Mind at the Octagon Bolton, Inglorious Technicolor and Storm in a Tea Chest at Scarborough Theatre, and East is East at Oldham Coliseum. She has recorded numerous leading roles in play for BBC Radio 4. Her television appearances include roles in Coronation Street, Hollyoaks, Casualty, Emmerdale, Hearts and Bones, Doctors, Eleventh Hour, Instinct, and Blue Murder.

RapleyDALE RAPLEY (Gloucester/Kent/Doctor Act4sc4&7) has performed in a wide variety of plays and shows all over the UK, including work with the Royal Shakespeare Company, Shakespeare’s Globe, and Regents Park Open Air Theatre. He has also worked with companies such as Cheek By Jowl, The Young Vic, the Arcola, and the Lyric Hammersmith, and has not been shy of a bit of musical theatre in London’s West End (Mamma Mia!). Recent roles include Antonio in The Merchant of Venice at the Globe, Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Regents Park, and Hector Hushabye in Shaw’s Heartbreak House at the Watford Palace Theatre. Dale has also taught at the University Of Colorado in Boulder, where he directed a theatrical extravaganza on the theme “Shakespeare and the Supernatural” to celebrate Halloween, and he has worked with the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain on the BBC Schools Shakespeare project. For the past year Dale has been living in his favorite city of Berlin and has just finished shooting his first feature film in German.
