Schedule of Events
The fall 2009 residency will be held September 28 - October 4 at the University of Texas at Austin. King Lear will be performed at the B. Iden Payne Theatre September 3, October 1 & 2. It will then be performed at Winedale October 3.
Pre-residency Events
Wednesday, September 23, 6:30 PM. “'By Order of Law': Shakespeare’s King Lear.” UT Law School, Eidman Courtroom. With Julius Getman, Professor of Law; Douglas Bruster, Professor of English; Matt Radford, Associate Director, AFTLS; Alan Friedman, UT Coordinator, AFTLS, & Faculty Advisor, Spirit of Shakespeare; and the SOS players performing scenes from King Lear. Free admission.
Friday, September 25, 3 PM. “Love in a Time of Terror: King Lear and the Potential for Consolation” by Dr. Elizabeth Richmond-Garza. Harry Ransom Center, Tom Lea Room. Annual British Studies Shakespeare Talk. Free admission.

Tickets are $20 for non-affiliated admission and $10 for affiliated admission (UT ID holders, seniors, all college and non-college students). To purchase visit the Performing Arts Center website or call 477-6060 or 1-800-982-2386. Affiliated tickets may be purchased without a service charge in person at the Frank Erwin Center Box Office (M-F, 10 AM - 6 PM) and the Bass Concert Hall Ticket Office (M-F, 11 AM - 2 PM inside lobby and 2 - 6 PM outside ticket window).
Winedale Performance on October 3 at 7 PM (Winedale Historic Center, Round Top)
