Actors from the London Stage (AFTLS)
A troupe of five classically trained actors from major English theatres comes to UT for a week-long residency each fall.
Oxford Summer Program
UT English faculty teach at Brasenose College, Oxford, UK during the second summer session; open to all undergraduates and graduate students.
Shakespeare at Winedale
A dedicated group of scholars/performers study and perform in a secluded country environment.
English Honors
English Honors students develop advanced skills in writing, textual analysis, and research and produce an original, independent Honors thesis.
Writing Contests
We hold contests in fiction, poetry, essay, and literary criticism each spring and fall semester. In addition, each spring we award both the Academy of American Poets College Poetry Contest and the Fania Kruger Fellowship. We award monetary prizes in all categories; please see the entry forms for detailed contest information.
